Two more goals for Neymar in a Brazil shirt brought his Selecao total to 42 as Brazil defeated Turkey 4-0 in Istanbul earlier today.
It took only 20 minutes before the 22-year-old had his side in the lead, outracing the Turkey defense and latching on to a Fernandinho long ball before beating the keeper with a low strike.
Four minutes later and Brazil’s lead doubled by virtue of a Semih Kaya own-goal. Just before half, the Selecao made it three when Neymar’s pass found Willian in the center of the box and his shot found the bottom corner.
Up 3-0 and on cruise-control, the pair linked up once again this time as Willian returned a one-touch pass to the on-running Neymar, who dribbled into the left side of the box and found the far netting with a right footed shot.
Possession only slightly favored Brazil at 51% and match shots were just 15-12 in favor of the green and yellow but the class of Neymar and Willian put this match well out of Turkey’s reach.
