Foster then saved superbly from Ramiro Funes Mori and from the resulting corner Everton took the lead as Barry headed into the roof of the net from close range for his first goal since January 2014. 2-1 to Everton.
Late on Everton should’ve clinched the game with new signing Yannick Bolasie whipping the ball in and Barkley somehow missing at the near post. Bolasie then played in Lukaku who was denied by Foster and at the other end West Brom almost snatched a late equalizer as goalkeeper Foster volleyed just wide after coming up for a free kick.
