With Burnley enjoying some time off from the Premier League, Danny Ings is taking a vacation to Spain.
Actually, it could be more of a business trip.
The Clarets’ star striker has flown to Spain for a meeting with David Moyes, the former Manchester United manager who is now in charge of La Liga side Real Sociedad.

Moyes has had his eyes on Ings throughout the season, and many thought the Englishman could be leaving Burnley for Spain during the January transfer window.
Early reports stated Ings had signed a pre-contract agreement to move to Sociedad over the summer, however some believe the striker is eyeing a move to Liverpool instead.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Burnley manager Sean Dyche has warned Ings about a possible move to Spain, saying the Premier League is better for the player’s development.I think we all know his development needs to continue and that’s in the Premier League.
The middle of La Liga is no use for a young player, I don’t personally think so – albeit it is a great standard. I think he’s better than that. I think he’s top end of the Premier League.
He would only move abroad for financial reasons. It’s not for development. His development is top end of the Premier League. It’s the most powerful league in the world.
His aspirations, as they should be, are to play for his national side and he definitely wants to play for England. I think his journey is in the Premier League.”
After tallying 21 times in the Championship last season, Ings is once again leading the Burnley frontline with nine Premier League goals this year. Still only 22-years-old, bigger clubs have been taking notice of the striker’s form.

At Burnley until the end of the season, the Clarets will need Ings to continue scoring as they face an absolutely brutal stretch of matches coming up. Sitting second-to-last on the table, Burnley faces Chelsea, Swansea City, Liverpool, Manchester City, Southampton, Tottenham and Arsenal in their next seven league fixtures.
