Redskins agreed to terms with No. 182 overall pick CB Tevin Mitchel.
Not on many pre-draft radars, Mitchel played hurt last season at Arkansas. He’ll compete for one of the Redskins’ final roster spots at cornerback.

Redskins sixth-round CB Tevin Mitchel is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
It likely means Mitchel will be waived/injured, and spend his rookie year “redshirting” on injured reserve. Mitchel was injury prone at Arkansas. If he indeed misses 2015, he’ll compete for one of Washington’s final roster spots next season.

Colts claimed CB Tevin Mitchel off waivers from the Redskins.
The No. 182 overall pick of the draft, Mitchel recently underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. The Redskins waived/injured him assuming they could sneak him through waivers and place him on injured reserve. They were mistaken. Mitchel will ultimately end up on injured reserve in Indy, redshirting for 2015.

Redskins selected Arkansas CB Tevin Mitchel with the No. 182 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
The corner suffered through a hamstring injury earlier in 2014 and missed the first two games of the season. He also tore his labrum last spring. A College Gridiron Showcase alum, Mitchel collected four interceptions, 18 pass breakups and six tackles for loss across 43 career games. He ran a 4.45.
