The Jaguars are “encouraged” by undrafted WR Tobais Palmer.
“We talked about him quite a bit after the rookie minicamp,” coach Gus Bradley said. “We really like his speed and we’re trying to move him around to find a home for him.” Palmer has a history of migraines, and they have forced him to sit out the last two days of OTAs. He has a chance to stick on a roster with a coaching staff promoting competition at every position.
  • FA Wide Receiver #8
Jaguars undrafted rookie WR Tobais Palmer opened eyes at rookie minicamp.
Palmer (5-foot-10, 178) succeeded T.J. Graham at NC State and led the Wolfpack in receptions in 2012. At the school’s Pro Day, Palmer ran a 4.39 forty to go along with a 10-foot-1 broad jump and 33 1/2-inch vertical leap. He also brings some kick and punt return skills to the table.

    Panthers signed WR Tobais Palmer.
He was released by Pittsburgh last week after signing a futures deal on February 4. The Panthers also inked journeyman WR LaRon Byrd. Both will serve as camp bodies. UDFAs Andrew Bonnet and Jake McGee were waived to open spots for Byrd and Palmer.
  • FA Wide Receiver #8
    Chargers waived/injured WR Tobais Palmer.
Palmer was a hyped UDFA with the Jaguars last year, but never got any footing and had been taking up space on San Diego’s 90-man roster. He’s not an intriguing NFL prospect. In other Chargers transaction news, they cut OL Ian White, and signed RB Branden Oliver and OG Craig Watts.
