Jets OLB Trevor Reilly is on the roster bubble.
Reilly has been a useful special teams player for the Jets and has also contributed as a backup linebacker. However, the arrival of Jordan Jenkins and Freddie Bishop has put him firmly on the roster bubble. Reilly will need a stellar camp to preserve his roster spot.
  • FA Linebacker #51
Dolphins signed OLB Trevor Reilly off the Patriots’ practice squad.
A 2014 seventh-round pick of the Jets, Reilly has bounced around since being cut by Gang Green out of training camp. Reilly is a third-year player who is already 28 1/2 years old because he went on missions at the University of Utah.
  • FA Linebacker #51
Jets signed seventh-round OLB Trevor Reilly to a four-year contract.
Reilly is already 26. He dominated teenagers in college. Reilly has a solid statistical resume, but we don’t expect him to become a very productive NFL pass rusher.
  • FA Linebacker #51
Jets selected Utah OLB Trevor Reilly with the No. 235 overall pick in the 214 NFL draft.
Reilly (6-foot-4 3/4, 245) was a 32-game starter for the Utes, tallying 20 career sacks, 37 tackles for loss, and eight forced fumbles. Already 26 years old after a two-year LDS mission, Reilly benefited statistically from dominating 20- and 21-year-olds in the Pac 12, and is an average athlete with 4.66 speed, a 30 1/2-inch vertical, and 9-foot-9 broad jump. Reilly was a productive college pass rusher who’s unlikely to make much NFL noise.
