Jaguars signed WR Trey Quinn to the practice squad.
Quinn, who started six games as Washington’s slot receiver last season, was waived by the Football Team yesterday. He’ll bring his Michael Scarn touchdown dance to Jacksonville, though a path to playing time for Quinn is hard to find with DJ Chark, Dede Westbrook, Chris Conley, and Laviska Shenault at wide receiver for the Jags.

    Washington waived WR Trey Quinn.
This comes as a surprise after Quinn made six starts out of the slot last year. Quinn could draw some interest on waivers. If not, he’ll return on Washington’s practice squad.

  • FA Tight End #18
Washington coach Ron Rivera didn’t rule out signing a veteran to compete with rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden.
With Kelvin Harmon (knee, NFI) out for the year and Cody Latimer on the exempt list, Gandy-Golden and Steven Sims are Washington’s top options opposite Terry McLaurin. There’s been some puff Gandy-Golden could start Week 1, but he’s making a leap from FBS Liberty without a full offseason. Whoever wins the No. 2 job doesn’t project to cut into McLaurin’s target share.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Redskins placed WR Trey Quinn on injured reserve with a concussion, ending his season.
Quinn’s second season did not amount to much, as he ends with just 198 yards on 26 receptions. His 55.3% catch-rate left much to be desired, but the quarterback play in Washington has not done him any favors. If Dwayne Haskins can take a step forward in 2020, Quinn could be a solid receiver out of the slot. Steven Sims took over for Quinn in Week 15 and led the team with 11 targets. He converted them into just 45 yards and five catches.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn (concussion) ruled out for Week 15 against the Eagles.
Steven Sims and Kelvin Harmon will join Terry McLaurin in three-WR sets with both Quinn and Paul Richardson (hamstring) sidelined. McLaurin F1 found the end zone for the first time since Week 6 during the Redskins’ 20-15 loss to the Packers in Week 14. Up next is an Eagles Defense that has allowed nine different WRs to surpass 100 yards this season. Treat McLaurin as an upside WR3 in this prime spot.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 13.
Quinn left in the first half and was quickly ruled out. He failed to catch a pass for the second-straight week. Quinn will be questionable for Week 14 but is way off the fantasy radar when healthy. It’s Terry McLaurin and everyone else in Washington.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn didn’t catch a pass in Washington’s Week 12 win over the Lions.
Quinn’s totaled (yes, TOTALED) 18 yards in Dwayne Haskins’ three starts. We’re sorry for your team if you’re forced to play him.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn caught 2-of-4 targets for nine yards in the Redskins’ Week 11 loss to the Jets.
If Quinn is catching two passes for nine yards at home against the Jets, then he’ll never be a fantasy asset in 2020. Terry McLaurin is the only Redskins pass-catcher to monitor in redraft.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn caught 1-of-3 targets for nine yards in the Redskins’ Week 9 loss to the Bills.
A low-ceiling player on a low-ceiling offense, Quinn can be forgotten about in fantasy circles whenever Terry McLaurin is healthy. Quinn has under 40 yards in every game this season.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Trey Quinn caught 1-of-3 targets for 15 yards in the Redskins’ Week 8 loss to the Vikings.
Jay Gruden’s former teacher’s pet is on pace for 46/360/2 at the season’s midway point. The Redskins’ non-Terry McLaurin passing game is a complete wasteland.
