Lynx signed Jaylyn Sherrod to a rest-of-season contract.
With Minnesota releasing guard Yvonne Anderson on Saturday, the franchise had an open roster spot to work with. They’ve decided to add Sherrod, who was waived by the Liberty on August 1 to make room for Emma Meesseman. Sherrod appeared in 28 games in her two seasons with New York, averaging 1.5 points in 5.0 minutes.
  • Emma Meeseman will make her Liberty debut on Friday against the Sun.
Considered by many to be the best player in the world not in the WNBA when the season began, Meeseman agreed to a deal with the Liberty on July 21. After her P-1A visa was approved, the Belgian forward arrived in New York on Wednesday and underwent a physical. Meeseman will play on Friday, and her arrival gives the Liberty a significant (and needed) boost in the frontcourt. The team is currently without Breanna Stewart, Nyara Sabally and Kennedy Burke due to injuries, with all three facing extended absences. Liberty has waived guard Jaylyn Sherrod to free up a roster spot for Meeseman.
