ESPN Boston considers Patriots sixth-round DE Zach Moore a lock to make the 53-man roster.
Not many sixth-round picks are considered locks for talented teams in win-now mode like the Patriots. But Moore is a high-ceiling player worth keeping around. He set Division-2 Concordia’s school record with 33 career sacks and has the size (6-foot-5 1/2, 269) and athleticism (10-foot-3 broad jump) to make an impact down the road. Moore will likely be limited to special teams in year one.

Patriots signed No. 198 overall pick DE Zach Moore to a four-year contract.
An FCS prospect out of Concordia, Moore stands in at 6-foot-5, 269 pounds. Moore is facing a daunting leap in competition, but stood out at the Combine. He’ll most likely be left to develop on the practice squad, but has an outside shot at cracking the Patriots’ 53-man roster.

Patriots selected Concordia DE Zach Moore with the No. 198 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
Moore (6-foot-5 1/2, 269) finished his college career with a school-record 33 sacks for Division-2 Concordia. Although an obvious project, he possesses excellent length to ward off blockers with 33 3/4-inch arms, and demonstrated plus strength at the Combine with 23 reps on the bench. Moore runs 4.84 in the forty, but registered an impressive 10-foot-3 broad jump and has the requisite build to play multiple positions on the line. He’s a high-ceiling developmental player.
