Amil Jefferson has signed a contract with Galatasaray of Turkey.
Jefferson was with the Celtics at training camp, but he was cut before the season started and will now head overseas. Continue ignoring him.

The Celtics have waived PF Amile Jefferson.
Jefferson will try to catch on with another team or in the G-League, but it may be a long shot.

The Celtics have signed Amile Jefferson to an Exhibit 10 contract according to Jay King of The Athletic.
Jefferson appeared in 18 games for the Magic last season before being waived, as the team needed to free up a roster spot for James Ennis. Jefferson is unlikely to be a factor in any fantasy format this season.

The Magic have waived Amile Jefferson.
This move was necessary to clear a spot for James Ennis, who was acquired at the deadline. Jefferson wasn’t in the rotation anyway, so this doesn’t have fantasy implications.
  • ORL Forward #1
Jonathan Isaac (left knee) has been diagnosed with a severe sprain and bone bruise, and he will be re-evaluated in 8-10 weeks.
It’s sad news for Orlando’s rising star, though it could have been even worse -- the MRI revealed no structural damage to the ligaments in his knee. Fantasy owners are left to determine if they can stay afloat without Isaac until at least early-to-mid March, and probably longer. If you have an open IR spot, of course, stash him and hope for the best. Another risk is that his absence pushes Orlando out of the playoff picture and they decide to simply play it safe, but that’s speculation. Aaron Gordon (Achilles) will be even busier when he gets healthy, and guys like Amile Jefferson, Terrence Ross, Wes Iwundu and Khem Birch will be pressed into bigger roles.

Amile Jefferson started the second half of Wednesday’s game in place of Jonathan Isaac (left knee), finishing with two points, two assists and one block in 13 minutes.
Isaac left tonight’s game on a stretcher and will have an MRI on Thursday, after which we should have a better sense of his timetable. Right now it’s being called a hyperextension, but Isaac was very optimistic after the game. Aaron Gordon was also out tonight with a sore left Achilles, and it sounds like he could miss extra time. If they do miss time, the forward spots would be wide open for Jefferson, with more minutes for Terrence Ross, Khem Birch, Michael Frazier Jr. and others. There are no clear-cut pickups here.

Jonathan Isaac hyperextended his left knee on Wednesday and will have an MRI on Thursday.
Owners simply have to wait for test results, since a hyperextension can vary widely in severity. Isaac will almost certainly miss time, though, which pushes Terrence Ross into a key offensive role and shifts more minutes to guys like Amile Jefferson and Khem Birch. The return of Aaron Gordon (Achilles) would be huge for Orlando, but he too is out indefinitely. Stay tuned.

Amile Jefferson started the second half on Wednesday.
Jonathan Isaac went down early with a left knee injury, with an MRI pending on Thursday. There are no real pickups here, but Jefferson is worth speculatively grabbing in deep leagues.

Amile Jefferson has agreed to a two-year NBA contract with the Orlando Magic.
Jefferson had been on a two-way deal with Magic and spent last season a two-way contract as well. He’s unlikely to receive consistent minutes with Orlando and should be left on waiver wires in fantasy leagues.

The Magic have re-signed Amile Jefferson to a one-year deal.
Jefferson played last season on a two-way contract with Orlando. He spent most of the year in the G League and appeared in only 12 games for the big club.
