According to ESPN.com’s Jonathan Givony, Shaw University SG Amir Hinton will forego his final season of eligibility and enter the 2019 NBA Draft.
Hinton (6'5/190) currently leads Division II in scoring with an average of 29.4 points per game. In his first season at Shaw the 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who began his collegiate career at Lock Haven University, helped lead the team to the championship game of the CIAA Tournament. Givony has Hinton projected 49th on this ESPN Top 100 list, and the high-scoring guard will look to be the first Division II player to be selected in the NBA draft since 2005.
