    Ravens released DB Jordan Richards.
Baltimore also parted ways with receiver Michael Dereus and offensive tackle Andre Smith. Richards was a core contributor on special teams last year, appearing in all 16 games while logging 334 special teams snaps. Having played for three teams in the past three years, Richards should land on another team’s roster before Week 1.

  • Ravens OT Andre Smith has opted out of the 2020 season.
Now 33-year-old Smith was not a starter, but he was in the mix at swing tackle. The Ravens have plenty of depth on the interior, but not the outside. Smith made six appearances and five starts for the Bengals last season before landing in Baltimore at the end of the year. His departure is a nuisance but not a crushing blow. The Ravens can find another experienced tackle on the open market.

  • Ravens re-signed OT Andre Smith to a one-year contract.
Smith was signed by the Ravens just before their playoff loss to the Titans. He was inactive for that game, but the 33-year-old will now join the 90-man offseason roster. Smith played 254 snaps for the Bengals this past season before getting cut after Thanksgiving.
  • TB Guard #60
Bengals G Michael Jordan (knee) and T Andre Smith (groin) are questionable for the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Bills.
Things just keep getting worse for the Bengals’ injury-riddled offensive line. It’s particularly bad news this week against the Bills’ ferocious defense, which has allowed a league-low 180 passing yards per game dating back to Week 1 of last season. The Bengals rank 24th in adjusted sack rate and dead last in adjusted line yards per rush after two weeks (Football Outsiders).
  • Ravens placed OG Parker Ehinger (shoulder) on injured reserve.
Ehinger will be out for the Ravens’ playoff run but should be ready for the 2020 season. Baltimore signed former Bengals OT Andre Smith in a corresponding move after working him out yesterday along with other veteran linemen.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Raiders coach Tom Cable believes there’s enough on film to ignore Michael Crabtree’s lack of a forty-yard dash time.
“Yeah, he’s on film, he’s all over the place. He’s a great player,” said Cable. “At the end of the day, it’s about touchdowns and production and ... there’s probably nobody better. Nobody better.” Cable is also drooling over the top four tackles in the draft and referred to Andre Smith as “a dynamite player ... dynamite.”
  • Bengals waived LT Andre Smith.
Smith started five of the six games he appeared in this season. He graded as PFF’s eighth-worst tackle in the league over 254 snaps. Despite his struggles, Smith has the name value to resurface in a backup role. The Bengals signed TE Mason Schreck off the practice squad in a corresponding move.
  • Bengals LT Andre Smith (ankle) is questionable for Week 8 against the Rams.
The Bengals offensive line has been crushed by injuries this season. Cordy Glenn (concussion) has yet to suit up and Smith and RG John Miller are both questionable for Sunday. Smith got in limited practice this week and should return after missing the last two games.
  • Bengals LT Andre Smith (ankle) has been ruled out for the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Ravens.
The Bengals are now down to their third-string LT, as Cordy Glenn (concussion) has yet to suit up this season. This is obviously bad news for their upcoming matchup against the Ravens, although this year’s edition of the Baltimore defense hasn’t been anything close to as good as past seasons. Overall, only the Dolphins (7) have allowed more yards per play than the Ravens (6.7) this season.
  • Bengals LT Andre Smith was forced from Sunday’s game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury.
Smith was announced as “questionable” but never returned. John Jerry, the Bengals’ No. 3 left tackle, finished the game on Andy Dalton’s blindside. Smith is uncertain for Week 6 against the Ravens.
