Vaughn Dalzell breaks down how to bet the the Charlotte Hornets versus Toronto Raptors rematch from Sunday.
Raptors (-14.5) at Hornets: O/U 223.0
We have another round of Toronto versus Charlotte as the Raptors look for another win in the middle of their five-game road trip.
Charlotte scored 108 points on Sunday in a 128-108 loss to the Raptors. However, the Hornets hit the Over on their Team Total thanks to a 37-point third quarter. The Hornets’ Team Total was 104.5 before closing at 101.5 in that game.
In the other three quarters, the Hornets scored 25, 27 and 19 points, so I am expecting more of that and less of the 37-points in this meeting.
Over the last five games, Charlotte averages 112.6 points per game (23rd) and 106.8 over the past 10 (28th). The Hornets are 24th and 29th in that same span for adjusted offensive efficiency.
In the last 10 games, Charlotte has lost six of them and owns the last-ranked adjusted offensive efficiency in the league, along with the worst offensive turnover percentage (18.9%). At 26-53 on the season and the fourth-worst record in the NBA solidified, continue to fade the Hornets.
I played the Charlotte Team Total Under 103.5 points (-115) and would go down to 101.5.
Pick: Hornets Team Total Under (1u)
