There are another seven games on NBA slate tonight and the marquee matchup will feature the Los Angeles Lakers without LeBron James against the Los Angeles Clippers. Odds are powered by PointsBet.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Dallas Mavericks (+3.5) Total: 234
The Brooklyn Nets, who expected to have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the lineup, will look to snap their three-game losing streak tonight against the Dallas Mavericks.
No one has done a better job of improving their playoff position than the Mavericks. There was a time before the All-Star break that I thought Dallas would miss the playoffs, but they currently find themselves tied with the Lakers for the fifth seed in the West. Tonight’s game is very important for the Mavericks who will again be without Kristaps Porzingis.
We won’t see what Brooklyn is really made of until the playoffs begin so I don’t want to fade them, but they are the heaviest bet team on the card.
Edge Finder Tip: The Dallas Mavericks are 7-1 to the Under as home underdogs this season.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers (+6) Total: 240
Hawks interim head coach Nate McMillan makes his return to Indiana tonight where he was the head coach for four seasons. When McMillian got fired I thought Indiana was making a mistake, and it looks like I was correct. The Pacers will be in the play-in tournament, but I doubt they make the playoffs. Atlanta on the other hand are locked into a playoff spot.
McMillan has done a great job as the Hawks interim head coach and I think the Hawks will make easy work of the Pacers and end their four-game road losing streak.
Edge: Hawks -6

Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers (-8) Total: 211
The Clippers will look to sweep their season series against the Lakers tonight at the Staples Center. LeBron James will be out for the Lakers again tonight. I think James has a more serious injury than a high ankle sprain and because of that I think the Lakers’ season could be in jeopardy. The Lakers are currently tied for fifth in the Western Conference, but they are only a half-game ahead of the Blazers for the seventh seed.
The Clippers are tied with the Nuggets for the third seed in the West, but are not the type of team to worry about playoff positioning, as they have the unit to win the NBA title. The Clippers are 2-0 ATS against the Lakers this season and while I think they win tonight, I like the Lakers to cover.
Edge: Lakers +8
