Packers at Cowboys - Micah’s Return! Prediction, Odds, expert picks, QBs, injury update, trends, and stats

Funny how the schedule makers in the NFL always seem to get it right. Sunday Night in Dallas is just another example of that. Just weeks after being traded from the Cowboys to the Packers, Micah Parsons returns with Green Bay (2-1) to take on Dallas (1-2).

The Packers are looking to rebound from a surprising 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Parsons and the defense did their job limiting Joe Flacco and the Browns to just 221 Total Yards, but Jordan Love and the offense labored against Myles Garrett and co. The Pack managed a mere 230 yards of offense. The few times they started to move the ball the drives would stall due to penalties as Green Bay was whistled 14 times for infractions.

The good news for Love and co. is they are not facing the Browns’ defense this week. How bad is Dallas’ defense? Their pass defense is ranked dead last in the entire NFL allowing 900 yards and also a league-worst 9.8 yds/attempt. Their pass rush has produced just four sacks (only four teams have fewer). So, the hope is for Dallas to outscore the Packers with a banged up offensive line and wide receiver corps.

Buckle up for Football Night in America.

Jets, Rams are Week 3 underdogs worth betting on
With major questions surrounding the Bucs, Drew Dinsick likes the Jets' odds against Baker Mayfield & Co. in Week 3, while Jay Croucher expects the Rams to have "answers" for the Eagles.

Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper): Green Bay Packers -6.5 (-115)

This should be on the other side of 7 with the extremely favorable matchups on paper for the Packers’ pass rush, the Packers’ coverage group and the Packers’ wide receivers. Expecting the Cowboys’ offense to miss Lamb badly while the offensive line and secondary continue their subpar seasons thanks to injury.

Trysta Krick (@Trysta_Krick): Jordan Love OVER 231.5 yards passing and Tucker Kraft OVER 40.5 yards receiving

The Packers head to Dallas in what feels like a Micah Parsons revenge game — only this time, he’s wearing green and gold. Ever since that trade went down, this matchup has been circled on the calendar.

Green Bay comes in favored by a touchdown, and the real question is: what’s the best way to attack this spot?

One thing is clear — this Cowboys defense has been a disaster. They’re making Russell Wilson look like prime Seahawks Russ. Any quarterback can light them up for 400 yards right now.

The deep ball numbers are especially alarming. Dallas has been targeted 15 times on throws of 20+ air yards and has allowed just under 30 yards per play on those attempts, giving up five touchdowns. No other defense in the league has given up more than two. They’re dead last in passing yards allowed, and while Jadeveon Clowney may return, he’s not going to make up for the absence of Parsons or suddenly fix a broken unit.

That sets up perfectly for Jordan Love. His passing yards prop sits at 231.5, and I like the over. On top of that, keep an eye on Tucker Kraft, who’s emerged as the de facto WR1 — leading the team in both targets and receiving yards. His receiving prop at 40+ yards is worth considering as well.
