    Braves released RHP Brad Brach.
Brach signed a minor league contract with the Braves last March and didn’t end up reaching the majors for Atlanta. The 36-year-old veteran righty reliever posted a lackluster 4.88 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 26/10 K/BB ratio across 24 innings (21 appearances) for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Braves reassigned OF Michael Harris II and RHP Brad Brach to minor league camp.
Harris had practically no chance to break camp with the team as he’s yet to play above High-A, so this comes as no surprise. The 21-year-old top prospect was 3-for-8 with a double and three steals with the Braves before his reassignment.

Braves sign RHP Brad Brach to a minor league contract.
The right-hander was released by the Reds in September after carrying a 6.30 ERA over 30 innings during the 2021 season. Brach will compete for a role in the Braves bullpen during spring training but will have an uphill battle to make the team.

Reds designated RHP Brad Brach for assignment.
The move clears a spot for Kyle Farmer’s return from the paternity list. Brach gets the boot after posting an ugly 6.30 ERA over 35 relief appearances this season.

Brad Brach (shoulder) is beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday.
Brach has been on the injured list since August 8 with a right shoulder impingement. The right-handed veteran had posted a 1.48 WHIP and 5.59 ERA with a 32/17 K/BB ratio in his 29 games for Cincinnati before the injury, and would be a low-leverage bullpen option if healthy over the final few weeks.

Brad Brach (shoulder) has advanced to mound work.
His latest bullpen session was Wednesday at American Family Field in Milwaukee. It’s notable that Brach is traveling with the Reds, which suggests that he could be activated sometime this weekend in Miami. The reliever has been out since August 8 due to a right shoulder impingement.

Cincinnati activated Lucas Sims from the injured list in a corresponding move. Brach posted a 5.59 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 29 games this season for the Reds with 32 strikeouts.

Brad Brach retired just one batter while being charged with three runs -- two earned -- as the Reds’ bullpen melted down late against the Royals.
Brach came on in the bottom of the eighth with two out, a runner on and the Reds having a three-run lead. He got a strikeout to end that frame and would’ve netted a save had he finished off the ninth. That didn’t come close to happening, though, as Brach walked the leadoff hitter, hit a batter and then was pulled after a runner reached on an error. Heath Hembree and Amir Garrett then completed the meltdown. Brach had been pitching well and could still be in the mix for saves, but it wasn’t a good night for him.
