Chargers signed North Carolina State OLB Brock Hekking.
Hekking (6'3/255) made 38 starts for the Wolf Pack, registering 34.5 career TFLs, 22.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. He was a second-team All-Mountain West pick as a senior. Hekking showed above-average athleticism at the Nevada Pro Day, running 4.76 with a 33-inch vertical and 9-foot-9 broad jump, also pumping 28 reps on the bench. Hekking is a straight-linish but high-motor pass rusher with a productive resume. He’ll likely open his career on special teams and could become a sub-package rusher down the line.
