Bengals re-signed FB Chris Pressley to a two-year contract.
Pressley, who turns 26 in August, graded out as a top-eight NFL fullback in Pro Football Focus’ 2011 rankings while clearing the way for Cedric Benson. He started ten games, but did not catch a pass. The former undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin was scheduled to hit restricted free agency this offseason.

Pressley was injured early on in Thursday night’s win over the Eagles and was almost immediately ruled out for the rest of the game. Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy said Pressley was spotted on crutches after the game, and that it “doesn’t look good.” Cincinnati will likely be on the lookout for another fullback this upcoming week.

    Browns signed FB Chris Pressley.
Pressley missed the entire 2013 season due to a knee injury. Before that, the 5'11/260-pounder was an average lead-blocker for the Bengals. Pressley will fight for the right to be Ben Tate’s battering ram in Kyle Shanahan’s zone-blocking scheme. The Browns did not carry a true blocking fullback last season.

Buccaneers signed FB Chris Pressley off the Bengals’ practice squad.
Pressley, a four-eyed fullback who starred in HBO’s Hard Knocks series this fall, gives Tampa depth behind starting lead blocker Earnest Graham.

Coach Raheem Morris says Earnest Graham is in line to be the Bucs’ starting fullback in 2010.
Morris indicated that the club is high on Chris Pressley, a truer lead blocker, but using Graham in the role is at least a way to keep a talented player involved. Still, Graham may not see more than 50 or so touches this season.
