Commanders signed Southeastern Louisiana QB Cole Kelley.
Kelley (6’7/260), who played out the first two seasons of his college career at Arkansas before heading to Southeastern Louisiana, finished out his final season at SLU with a completion percentage of 73.6 with 5,124 passing yards, 44 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions on 552 attempts. One of the most obvious traits he brings to the table is his large frame, which makes him tough for opposing defenders to take down. The former FCS Player of the Year is still very much under the radar, but between the high efficiency he’s shown as a passer, a good amount of mobility, and his build, Kelley could find his way to the back end of a roster.
