CRABTREE HAVING SURGERY, OUT FOR PRO DAY

It turns out Michael Crabtree won’t workout for NFL scouts after all, as he’s announced that he’s having a screw placed in his left foot in a surgery to fix a stress fracture that came to light at the NFL scouting combine. Crabtree hoped to run even with the preexisting injury, to hopefully answer the only remaining question left after two much heralded seasons in Lubbock."After thorough consideration and discussion with my advisors and doctors, I decided to have the surgery, rather than risk any further injury,” Crabtree said in a statement Sunday. “As a competitor, I wanted to run at my pro day, but it became clear that the best thing for me is to have the surgery and be ready to get on the field as soon as possible."The surgery is scheduled for March 4th, and Texas Tech’s pro day is being held March 26th.
