Former Alabama D-liner Dee Liner heading to Arkansas State

The aptly-named Dee Liner will transfer to Arkansas State, the D-liner posted on Twitter Friday (yes, I’m getting as much mileage out of that as I can).

Finally made a decision on where I want to play ball at I will be attending Arkansas State University! Thank for the opportunity! #Gov 💯🙌

Liner was released from his scholarship in February after failing to crack through a loaded Alabama defensive line depth chart. The former four-star recruit from Muscle Shoals, Ala., will have to sit out the 2015 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining once he begins playing for Arkansas State.

In four career games with the Tide, Liner recorded three tackles.
