Pitt reportedly will lose reserve quarterback, receiver to transfer

According to Sam Werner of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pitt quarterback Adam Bertke and receiver Jaquaun Davidson will both transfer.

Both players were reserves who didn’t play their first two years on campus.

Bertke came to Pitt as a three-star recruit from Maria Stein, Ohio, and also had offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Illinois, Kent State and Toledo. Four players were expected to be ahead of Bertke on Pitt’s QB depth chart, per Werner.

Davidson was a three-star member of Pitt’s 2014 recruiting class from Elizabeth, Penn., and also had offers from UConn, Illinois, Old Dominion, Temple, Western Michigan and Youngstown State.
