Steve Sarkisian asks for privacy amidst divorce proceedings

With spring practice in the rearview mirror, Steve Sarkisian can now turn his attention to something substantially more important and impactful than the game of football.

ConquestChronicles.com, an SBNation website, first reported that the USC head coach and his wife, Stephanie, are in the process of getting a divorce. The Sarkisians have been married for more than 17 years, and have three children, daughters Ashley, 12, and Taylor, 6, and son Brady, 9.

In response to the report, Sarkisian released a statement through his representatives thanking people in advance for respecting his family’s privacy.

“It is our desire to protect the privacy of our children and each other. Our goal is to raise our children in a joint, cooperative style as caring and loving parents. Thank you for respecting our family’s privacy. We will have no further comment.”

Sarkisian is entering his second season at USC after spending the previous five seasons as the head coach at Washington.
