Kenny Tate‘s streak of starting 17 consecutive games could very well be coming to an end this weekend, although the reason why is shrouded in mystery.
On Maryland’s official injury report released Thursday, Tate was listed as doubtful for the Georgia Tech game. The nature of the injury? Unknown, as is when Tate incurred whatever injury/health issue he’s dealing with.
Tate has starter all four games for the Terrapins this season, and leads the team in interceptions with two and is fourth in tackles. He was a first-team All-Acc safety last year before moving to linebacker this season.
If Tate’s unable to go, redshirt freshman Mario Rowson would likely get the start.
