It’s officially official that Miami has added an experienced piece to its secondary.
In early March, Adrian Colbert took to Twitter to announce that he would be transferring to The U. A little over two months later, the former Texas defensive back is now enrolled for the summer semester at the university and will begin working out with his new Hurricane teammates.
In mid-February, Colbert announced on social media that he would be transferring out of Charlie Strong‘s Longhorns football program. As a graduate transfer, Colbert will be eligible to play immediately in 2016.
This upcoming season will be Colbert’s final year of eligibility.
A three-star member of Texas’ 2012 recruiting class, Colbert played in 26 games in 2013 and 2014 after redshirting as a true freshman, starting four of those contests at safety. However, he wasn’t credited with a single tackle in 2015 despite playing in 12 games.
