    Redskins signed OT Corey Robinson.
Robinson gives the Redskins insurance with Trent Williams holding out. They also had free agent Donald Penn in for a visit, but Robinson will get the first shot. Washington will be in trouble if Robinson is forced into 2019 starts.
  • The Lions designated OT Corey Robinson (foot) as a return player from injured reserve.
Robinson suffered a foot injury during the summer. He appeared in 14 games last season, making three starts. With LT Taylor Decker still working his way back from shoulder surgery, Robinson could provide some needed depth behind struggling LT Greg Robinson. Robinson will be back within the next couple weeks.
  • Lions signed No. 240 overall pick OT Corey Robinson to a four-year contract.
He was Detroit’s last pick in the draft. Robinson is a gifted athlete for his size but is still a bit of a project. A former defensive tackle, Robinson has only been playing left tackle since his sophomore year at South Carolina.
  • Lions selected South Carolina OT Corey Robinson with the No. 240 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
Robinson (6'7/324) converted from defensive tackle to left tackle as a sophomore, where he piled up 35 career starts. Robinson showed freak athleticism for his mammoth size at the Gamecocks’ Pro Day, running 5.29/5.30 with a 31-inch vertical. A massive human with 35 5/8-inch arms and 10 3/4-inch hands, Robinson also scored a 40 on the Wonderlic test. While Robinson is a project, he has traits that are not coachable. He’s drawn some comparisons to Chargers LT King Dunlap.
  • The Panthers acquired OT Corey Robinson from the Lions in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2020.
Robinson started eight games for the Lions over the past three seasons, grading poorly across the board at Pro Football Focus. He’s still much needed depth for the Panthers, as left tackle Matt Kalil (knee scope) and right tackle Daryl Williams (knee, MCL) are still injured and questionable for the season opener versus Dallas. Taylor Moton will start on the opposite side of Robinson.
