    Lions waived/injured WR Corey Washington.
Washington will revert to I.R. when he clears waivers. He could eventually be released with an injury settlement.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Lions waived WR Cory Washington.
He’s been released with an injury settlement. 24-year-old Washington isn’t a lock to resurface when healthy.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Bills signed WR Corey Washington.
Washington spent a month on the Bills’ practice squad last season. The Bills don’t have much receiver depth but the 25-year-old is probably just a camp body.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Chiefs signed WRs Corey Washington and Robert Wheelwright.
Washington is 6'4/214 and made some noise in Giants camp a couple years back but has bounced around ever since. He’s a long shot at this point of his career. To make room, the Chiefs cut WR Antwan Goodley and TE Emanuel Byrd.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Giants wide receivers coach Sean Ryan said WR Corey Washington “had an excellent spring.”
Washington was the star of the Giants’ offseason program last year, but his limitations on special teams limited his role in the regular season. With the top three spots in the wide receiver corps set, Washington will have to improve on special teams to even be active on game days.

Giants GM Jerry Reese singled out second-year WR Corey Washington as a player to watch during training camp.
Washington caught just five passes last regular season, but showed his upside in the preseason by scoring four times in five games. Still just 23 years old, the developmental project is competing to be the top backup to outside receivers Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle.

Giants will release WR Corey Washington with an injury settlement.
Washington had a disappointing August after shining in his rookie preseason, but the Giants are still surprisingly comfortable letting a promising prospect go. Washington is big, fast, and young. Washington has practice squad eligibility and should find a home once the NFL processes the transaction.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Free agent WR Corey Washington is working out for the Jets on Tuesday.
It’s an indication the Jets expect Eric Decker (PCL) to miss some time. Washington was released by the Giants with an injury settlement earlier this month.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Giants waived/injured WR Corey Washington.
Initial reports had Washington as merely waived. He missed the preseason finale with a shoulder injury. He’ll revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers. Washington stuck with the Giants in 2014 after turning in a mammoth preseason, but couldn’t match the feat this summer, catching just three passes for 25 yards in three games. Washington still has some upside, but there’s no real reason to keep him around in Dynasty leagues.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Giants WR Corey Washington must perform more consistently on special teams to earn a larger role on offense.
If you’re not a top-three receiver on your respective team, you need to be able to cover kicks and punts. Washington couldn’t do that as a rookie and was inactive for much of the year after a dominant preseason. With the Giants appearing to be loaded at receiver, Washington will have to have another strong summer to make the 53-man roster. He’s an imposing 6'4/214.
