Pettway

A name UDFA this time last year, Pettway spent his rookie season on injured reserve, and he was waived Monday with a non-football injury designation. Pruitt was let go with a failed physical designation.

Pettway (6'2/256) was a rotational defensive end for the Crimson Tide, logging 12 career tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, also playing special teams. Pettway’s Combine numbers revealed why he couldn’t earn a starting job in college, running 4.99 with a 28-inch vertical. Pettway isn’t a serious candidate for defensive playing time in the pros, and may not even be athletic enough to win on special teams.
