Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun Game Preview:
All of the Indiana Fever’s games are broadcast on national television this season, and with increased attention comes the inevitability of heightened expectations and scrutiny.
But despite defensive challenges and the fallout from last week’s heated exchange between Clark and head coach Stephanie White, Indiana is focused on unity.
“There’s always going to be people who analyze every single thing that we do, and we would never change that,” said Clark last Thursday. “People always make up stories about where our locker room is, what my teammates think, what I think, or what our coaches think, but this group is connected.”
“I think for us, it’s really just looking at how we are each and every game,” said three-time WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston. “We can’t get too high from the highs or low from the lows. We’re not even where we want to be. I think each game you see improvement in certain areas, but there are certain areas where we have to continue to improve. We want to be top of the top by the end of the season.”
The Fever, who won last year’s WNBA Commissioners Cup, look to become the first team in WNBA history to repeat as tournament champions.

For the second consecutive year, the Connecticut Sun have opened up the season 2-12. The team — currently on a four-game losing streak and already out of the Commissioner’s Cup race — is still trying to find its footing as it transitions through a complete rebuild and an injury-plagued season.
This is the franchise’s final season in Connecticut as the team is set to relocate to Houston in 2027.
