    Angels released OF Dalton Pompey.
Pompey inked a minor-league deal with the Angels back in May. The 28-year-old former top prospect hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2018.

Diamondbacks signed OF Dalton Pompey to a minor league contract.
No word yet as to whether or not Pompey gets an invite to major league camp. Once considered one of the best prospects in baseball, Pompey has struggled with his chances in the majors, and he’s also dealt with concussions and other injuries that have stagnated his development. He’ll provide depth in the minors for the D-backs in 2020, likely beginning at Triple-A Reno.

Blue Jays sent OF Dalton Pompey outright to Triple-A Buffalo.
Pompey was designated for assignment by Toronto last week and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 26-year-old outfielder once ranked as a consensus top-50 prospect, but concussions and other ailments have derailed his career. He’ll try to get right in the International League.

Blue Jays activated OF Dalton Pompey from the 60-day injured list; designated him for assignment.
Pompey’s rehab window expired, and since he’s out of minor league options, the Blue Jays had to either promote him to Toronto or put him on waivers. The Blue Jays have chosen the latter. Once one of the top outfield prospects in baseball, Pompey has seen his development stagnate, and he has missed all of the 2019 season because of a concussion suffered late in spring training. It’s possible he’ll go unclaimed, but a team with an open 40-man roster spot could give him a look.

The Blue Jays have not yet made a decision on what to do with Dalton Pompey (concussion).
Pompey’s 20-day rehab window has expired and he is out of options, so the club needs to either add him to the active roster or expose him to waivers. He has been out all season due to a concussion suffered late in spring training.

Dalton Pompey (concussion) went 3-for-4 in a rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
Pompey has now played in 11 minor league rehab games between High-A Dunedin and Triple-A Buffalo, and he could be on the cusp of joining the Blue Jays’ active roster. The 26-year-old outfielder has been sidelined all season after suffering a concussion late in spring training when he banged his head on some bats that were positioned above his locker. He was probably going to break camp with Toronto had that not occured.

Dalton Pompey (concussion) continues to participate in baseball activities.
But it remains unclear when he might be allowed to play in live games. Pompey has been out all season after suffering a concussion when he hit his head on some bats above his locker back in spring training. He has a long history of concussions, so the Blue Jays are slow-playing this one.

Dalton Pompey (concussion) has begun light workouts.
Pompey was diagnosed with yet another concussion during spring training after he hit his head on some bats that were sitting in a row above his locker. The Blue Jays placed him on the 60-day injured list in early April. He won’t be playing in games at the major league level anytime soon, though it’s nice to hear that there has been some amount of progress.

Dalton Pompey (concussion) will be evaluated Saturday to see if he can resume baseball activities.
Pompey suffered a concussion three weeks ago. He has a history of concussions, so the Blue Jays will be extra careful here.

Blue Jays transferred OF Dalton Pompey from the 7-day concussion injured list to the 60-day injured list.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Pompey suffered a concussion late in spring training when he hit his head on some bats above his locker. It’s more terrible luck for Pompey, who already had two previous concussions. The most important thing is his health, so baseball takes a backseat for the time being.
