Coach John Fox singled out seventh-round WR Daniel Braverman as someone who “just keeps making plays.”
“I know it’s just practice, but we try and simulate games as much as we can in the practice and he continues to flash and make plays,” Fox continued. Braverman was the 230th overall pick back in April. He’s small at 5'10/175 and didn’t impress much athletically at his Pro Day, running 4.53 with a 28 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-4 broad jump. But he could have a future in the slot.

    Bears waived WR Daniel Braverman.
A seventh-round pick in April, Braverman earned some praise for his performance early in camp, but he had a quiet preseason. The Bears will hope to stash the slot prospect on their practice squad.

Bears signed rookie WR Daniel Braverman off their practice squad.
A seventh-round pick this year, Braverman is a pure slot prospect, but he can supply a reliable set of hands after the Bears dropped 10 passes against the Titans. He will take the roster spot of ILB Danny Trevathan, who is headed to injured reserve with a torn patellar tendon in his right knee. Braverman could push Eddie Royal for snaps.

Bears selected Western Michigan WR Daniel Braverman with the No. 230 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.
Braverman (5'10/175) was a rare small-school early entrant after a prolific junior campaign (108-1,367-13) in which he ranked second in the nation in receptions. Per College Football Focus, Braverman’s 2015 catch rate (76 percent) was the highest among draft-eligible receivers. Braverman’s athletic limitations showed up at the WMU Pro Day, running 4.53 with an anemic 28 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-4 broad jump. Due to his short-area playing style, Braverman has drawn comparisons ranging from Julian Edelman to Cole Beasley.
