Kilgo, 29, has spent time on the practice squads of the Patriots, Jaguars, Texans, Titans and Lions. He missed all of the 2019 season with a torn quad and was most recently released by New England following a handful of games in 2020.

Kilgo missed all of the 2019 season with a torn quad. The Patriots signed Kilgo ahead of the 2020 season but released him a few weeks before the season started. New England signed DT Xavier Williams at the same time as Kilgo’s release. Kilgo is 28 years old and missed all of 2019 with a torn quad. It’s unlikely that he’s able to find a roster with room for him before the start of the season.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Patriots are hosting free agent NT Darius Kilgo with the intent to sign him.
The organization brought in TE Jordan Leggett and Kilgo for COVID-19 testing and physicals before agreeing with both to deals. The 28-year-old missed the entire 2019 season with a torn quad, most recently taking the field for 11 appearances the year prior with Tennessee. New England would be Kilgo’s third team in his last three (healthy) seasons.

Kilgo missed the entire 2019 season with a torn quad. He won’t be re-signed by the Lions but is getting close to full health. Kilgo should have some free-agent interest as a sub-package run stopper.

    Lions signed DT Darius Kilgo.
A sixth-round pick by the Broncos back in 2015, Kilgo is something of a journeyman. He spent last season with the Titans, playing 131 snaps on defense in 11 appearances. The Lions also released RB Kerwynn Williams and waived OT Jarron Jones.

Broncos selected Maryland DT Darius Kilgo with the No. 203 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
Kilgo (6'4/320) made 36 starts for the Terps, collecting 19.5 career tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and six fumble recoveries.
