Eagles signed Toledo undrafted free agent RB David Fluellen.
Fluellen (5-foot-11 1/8, 224) was the Rockets’ starter for two seasons, finishing his career with 3,336 yards and 28 touchdowns on 561 carries (5.95 YPC), adding 80 receptions. He was a first-team All-MAC pick as both a junior and senior. Fluellen ran 4.72 at the Combine, but showed lower-body burst with a 10-foot broad jump and 36 1/2-inch vertical. He is a no-nonsense, between-the-tackles power back who doesn’t shy from contact, but lacks elusiveness and a second gear in the open field, and battled nagging injuries in college with an upright running style. The Eagles do have an opportunity in the backfield after trading Bryce Brown Saturday.
