    Eagles waived WR Deon Cain.
Cain had a good enough preseason with eight catches for 106 yards that he might push for a roster spot. The former sixth-round pick of the Colts might garner some interest on waivers.

Ravens released WR Deon Cain with an injury settlement
Cain reverted to IR after a concussion in last week’s preseason finale. Even with Rashod Bateman (core muscle surgery, IR) out the first three weeks, he was always a longshot to make the Ravens. The 25-year-old will look to resurface on another team’s practice squad.

    Steelers signed WR Deon Cain.
Cain was on the Colts’ practice squad. The Steelers released LB Jayrone Elliott in a corresponding roster move. Cain possesses a fun combination of size (6-foot-2 and 202-pounds) and speed (4.43-second 40-yard dash), but he struggled to find a role in the Colts’ run-first offense. He’ll likely work as the offense’s No. 4 or 5 WR moving forward.

    Colts waived WR Deon Cain.
Cain played just 19 snaps despite T.Y. Hilton (calf) missing last week. He’s been buried all year behind Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell, and Chester Rogers. The Colts will try to stash Cain on the practice squad but he could draw some interest on waivers.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain failed to catch either of his two targets in the Colts’ Week 9 loss to the Steelers.
The Colts’ snaps and targets for their WRs without T.Y. Hilton (calf) were as follows: Zach Pascal (6 targets, 66 snaps), Parris Campbell (5, 45), Chester Rogers (5, 46) and Cain (2, 19). Cain had a chance to come down with both of his targets. He possesses a fun combination of size (6-foot-2 and 202-pounds) and speed (4.43-second 40-yard dash), but has yet to demonstrate the ability to put everything together in the regular season. Cain is off the fantasy radar as the No. 5 (at best) pass-game option in the Colts’ run-first offense.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain wasn’t targeted in the Colts’ Week 7 win over the Texans.
Cain is off the fantasy radar with fewer than two catches in five consecutive games since Week 1.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain was held without a catch on five targets in the Colts’ Week 4 loss to the Raiders.
It’s not happening for the second-year pro, who now has just three catches on 11 targets through four games. That being said, Cain could stay in the WR5/6 mix for Week 5 against the Chiefs if T.Y. Hilton (quad) remains sidelined.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain caught 1-of-3 targets for 10 yards in the Colts’ Week 3 win over the Falcons.
Playing sparsely in the Colts’ wideout rotation, Cain is well off the fantasy radar, though that could change if T.Y. Hilton (quad) needs to miss time.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain failed to catch his lone target in the Colts’ Week 2 win over the Titans.
Cain has the athleticism to make an impact with Devin Funchess sidelined, but targets behind T.Y. Hilton will be tough to come by with the Colts running a more run-heavy offense.
  • FA Wide Receiver #32
Deon Cain came down with three catches for 74 yards and a touchdown on four targets in the Colts’ third preseason game Saturday against the Bears.
Neither team played their starters, which seems to be the new normal for dress rehearsal week. Cain took full advantage of the opportunity, just as he has all offseason. The bulk of his production came on a 46-yard touchdown strike from Chad Kelly in the second quarter. Cain caught a bullet on third down from Kelly, then used a double move to break free for an easy touchdown. The 2018 sixth-rounder has been a standout this summer, pulling in 12 grabs for 169 yards, the latter ranking third in the league behind only Tampa Bay’s Tanner Hudson (226) and Patriots rookie Jakobi Meyers (225). With Daurice Fountain (ankle) and Parris Campbell (hamstring) both shelved, it’s conceivable that Cain could open as the Colts’ No. 3 wideout behind entrenched starters T.Y. Hilton and Devin Funchess.
