    Commanders released DB Deshazor Everett.
In February, Everett was charged with involuntary manslaughter stemming from a December car crash that killed his girlfriend. Washington’s only statement on the incident was that they were monitoring the situation, though Everett’s release speaks for itself. Everett was a special teams captain but only took the field on defense for 40 snaps last year. Facing a deeply troubling criminal charge, Everett will remain a free agent for the foreseeable future.

Commanders DB Deshazor Everett was charged with involuntary manslaughter stemming from a December car crash that killed his girlfriend, Olivia Peters.
The investigation into the accident determined Everett was going “over twice the posted 45 MPH speed limit just prior to the crash.” “Mr. Everett voluntarily appeared earlier today at the Loudoun County Magistrate’s Office where he was served with a warrant for involuntary manslaughter,” Everett’s attorney said in a statement. “Our team continues to investigate this matter as we intend on vigorously defending Mr. Everett against these allegations.” Everett, 29, was injured in the incident after his vehicle hit several trees and rolled over. He was Washington’s special teams captain in 2021.

Football Team DB Deshazor Everett was driving in a Virginia car crash that killed passenger Olivia Peters.
Everett was hospitalized after the crash in Loudon County with “serious but non-life threatening injuries.” A Washington corner and free safety since 2015, Everett has played in 14 games this season, mostly as a special teams player. The Football Team could be without him for an extended period depending on injuries suffered in the crash.

Washington Football Team placed FS Deshazor Everett on injured reserve with a pectoral injury.
A starter since Week 5, Everett will miss at least the rest of the regular season. The Washington Post does not expect him to play again in 2020-21. Jeremy Reaves or Troy Apke will be the next man up opposite rookie Kam Curl. 28-year-old Everett is signed through 2022.

Everett signed a three-year, $6 million contract extension just last month but won’t be able to close out the season for Washington. Everett played corner but was more valuable as a special teamer. In a corresponding move, the Redskins signed WR “Darvin Kidsy” off the practice sqaud.

Redskins signed CB Deshazor Everett to a three-year, $6-million contract extension.
Everett had been headed for free agency after this year. Instead, his new deal will keep him in Washington through 2022. A core special teamer, Everett has logged just 30 defensive snaps this season.

Bucs signed Texas A&M CB Deshazor Everett.
Everett (5'11/188) was a three-year starter for the Aggies, seeing action at both safety and corner and tallying five career interceptions. Not invited to the Combine, Everett rebounded to light up the TAMU Pro Day, running 4.49 with a 38-inch vertical and 10-foot-10 broad jump. A wildly aggressive gambler in the SEC, Everett showed sub-par man-cover skills by allowing a whopping six touchdown passes in 2014. Everett is a highly physical ballhawk, however, and could potentially function as a slot corner/safety and special teamer.

Redskins re-signed CB Deshazor Everett to a two-year, $2.6 million contract.
Everett had been slated for restricted free agency. A 2015 UDFA, Everett made the first eight starts of his career last season, earning replacement-level marks from Pro Football Focus. He probably won’t play 500-plus defensive snaps again in 2018 but is a core special teamer.
