After missing last Saturday’s loss to Tennessee, Kentucky redshirt senior WR Dorian Baker will play against Middle Tennessee State.
No reason was given for Baker’s suspension. He hasn’t seen a ton of targets in 2018, as he’s caught 11 passes for 112 yards all year and has battled ankle injuries this season.
  • Kentucky sophomore WR Dorian Baker (hamstring) is considered day-to-day for Saturday’s game against Alabama.
We could basically just re-publish the same blurb every week until there’s an actual update. Baker’s troublesome hammy has kept him off the field the entire season, but the injury has never really been considered serious enough to move him out of day-to-day territory. Baker has practiced -- but in limited capacity -- this week.
  • Kentucky sophomore WR Dorian Baker (hamstring) is listed as a co-starter for Saturday’s game against Florida.
Baker was unable to play in last Saturday’s embarrassing come-from-ahead loss to Southern Miss due to a bum hammy, but it looks like the 6-foot-3, 208-pounder will be suiting up against Teez Tabor and company this weekend. In 11 games last season, Baker caught 56 passes for 612 yards and three touchdowns. He isn’t a must-add on the waiver wire in advance of Florida, but keep an eye on his performance against the Gators. Kentucky’s offense could be frisky this season.
  • Kentucky sophomore WR Dorian Baker (hamstring) is expected to be a full participant in practice this week.
Baker has yet to see game action due to a balky hamstring, but it appears that he is finally moving toward a 2016 debut. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder will next have the opportunity to suit up against Vanderbilt this coming Saturday. A year ago, he caught 56 passes for 612 yards and three touchdowns.
  • Kentucky junior WR Dorian Baker has been diagnosed with an ankle fracture and dislocation.
Baker suffered the fracture and dislocation during the team’s scrimmage on Saturday. He will be undergoing surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage. “We’re very disappointed for Dorian, as he had a good offseason and was helping lead our receivers during preseason camp,” said HC Mark Stoops in a statement. Baker has not been officially ruled out for the season, but his availability for the campaign is now very much in question. Blake Bone, Tavin Richardson and Kayaune Ross are all potential candidates to see bulked up reps with Baker sidelined.
  • The Lexington Herald-Leader’s Jen Smith passes along that Kentucky junior WR Dorian Baker has suffered a “significant” ankle injury.
At this early stage, the extent of the ankle injury is not known. There is no timetable for Baker’s return. He struggled with injury last season, not making his season debut until the end of October due to a hamstring strain. Limited to six games played, the 6-foot-3, 208-pounder caught 14 passes for 208 yards and two scores a year ago.
  • Kentucky HC Mark Stoops said that he will provide an update on junior WR Dorian Baker (ankle) next week.
Baker suffered a potentially serious ankle injury in practice. The Wildcats would like to see how he checks out over the next few days before offering further information as to a potential timetable for his return.
  • Kentucky redshirt junior WR Dorian Baker (ankle) will not participate in spring practice.
Baker (6'3/208) missed the entirety of the 2017 campaign after fracturing and dislocating his ankle in August camp. While he’s just recently begun change of direction work in which he places extra pressure on the ankle, he’s not quite ready for practice. Wildcats HC Mark Stoops said that he expects Baker to be “just fine” and added that he “looks good” in his rehab. We’ll check back in with the wideout later this offseason to see how his availability is looking for August camp.
  • Lexington Herald-Leader Jen Smith reports redshirt junior WR Dorian Baker has been running and “started change of direction.”
Baker sat out the entire 2017 season after suffering a dislocation and fracture to his ankle during a team scrimmage in August of 2017. Dorian has 88 receptions for 1015 yards and 6 touchdowns in his career. As long as he can progress nicely he should be a significant factor in Kentucky’s passing offence.
  • Kentucky redshirt senior WR Dorian Baker (ankle) will be available for Saturday’s opener against Central Michigan.
Baker (6'3/208) has not been healthy for an opener since 2015, with a hamstring injury preventing him from taking the field to start in 2016 and a fractured and dislocated ankle sustained last August knocking him out for the whole of the 2017 campaign before it had even begun. He sat out spring practices while rehabbing from that difficult ankle issue and has made steady progress through the summer. Said Baker of the opportunity to finally, finally start a year clean, “I dream about it. I have visions about it. It’s going to be real big for me.” During that healthy 2015 season, the wideout posted a respectable 56-612-3 receiving line.
