    Reyes, who turns 23 on November 26, hasn’t played above A-ball in five seasons as a professional. Playing a majority of his games at shortstop in 2013 with Lynchburg in the Carolina League, he hit .285 with a .728 OPS.

    Braves infield prospect Elmer Reyes has been charged with kidnapping and rape following an incident that allegedly occurred over the weekend in Ohio.
    Reyes, who plays with Triple-A Gwinnett, allegedly forced himself upon a woman in a hotel room after Friday’s game against Triple-A Columbus. The 24-year-old is free on bond and is scheduled for a June 2 court appearance.

    Reyes was charged with kidnapping and rape earlier this summer after an incident at a hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The 24-year-old infielder is probably done as a professional baseball player. He was batting just .216/.258/.279 in 30 games this season for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves.
