49ers signed Michigan OT Erik Magnuson.
Magnuson (6’5/305) made 37 career starts for Michigan, seeing action at both right tackle and guard and earning first-team All-Big Ten from the conference’s coaches in 2016. Magnuson’s short arms (32 1/8") ensure he’ll be viewed by most as an interior blocker, and his pre-draft athletic tests were below average. He only managed 21 reps on the bench. A low-ceiling prospect, Magnuson’s versatility is his calling card. He will likely top out as a swing reserve.
