Andrew Abbott allowed three earned runs over 5 1/3 innings while striking out six, earning a no-decision in Friday’s win over the Pirates.
Abbott gave up a solo homer to Konnor Griffin in the first inning and fell victim to two more long balls in the sixth inning. He left the game with the score deadlocked at 4-4, putting a damper on what was otherwise a solid outing before his final inning of work. Abbott remains solid for the Reds and his fantasy managers, as he’s pitched a minimum of five innings in every start this season and has not allowed more than three earned runs in any outing. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday in Milwaukee.
