Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters Logan Henderson (back) will return before next month’s All-Star break.

There was hardly any doubt after Henderson piled up seven strikeouts over three shutout innings during his latest minor league rehab start for Triple-A Nashville over the weekend. The 24-year-old will need at least one additional tune-up outing to build up his pitch count, but he’s primed to rejoin Milwaukee’s rotation at some point in early July. He’s shown some real flashes of immense potential, when healthy, with a sparkling 2.23 ERA and 63/14 K/BB ratio across 48 1/3 innings at the highest level over the last two seasons. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy leagues.
What Mariners' Young learned from idol McCutchen
From gaining valuable lessons from his idol Andrew McCutchen to hitting a walk-off in his Mariners debut, there's plenty Cole Young had the chance to reflect on with Jason Benetti ahead of Sunday Night Baseball.

Trevor Story opened his rehab assignment by going 1-for-2 for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

Story, who played about half of the game at shortstop, had a 97-mph single and a 351-foot flyout before departing. He’s been out for three months following hernia surgery, so he’ll probably need at least a week in the minors before rejoining the Red Sox.

Spencer Arrighetti allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings in his rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.

Arrighetti is trying to pitch through his foot nerve issue, and he was somewhat successful Sunday even though his velocity was down 1.5-2 mph. He’ll probably make one more rehab start before the Jays consider handing him a rotation spot.

Tony Santillan threw a scoreless inning in his rehab appearance for Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Santillan’s velocity in his second rehab outing was down about 1.5 mph on his fastball and three mph on his slider from where he was before landing on the IL with an oblique strain in late June. Still, the Reds probably won’t wait much longer to activate him.

The Mets are bumping newly acquired infielder Émilien Pitre up to Triple-A Syracuse.

The 23-year-old Pitre, who was picked up from the Rays in the Freddy Peralta trade, had hit .375/.386/.375 in 10 games for Double-A Binghamton, putting him at .316/.433/.439 overall in 98 games between High-A and Double-A this year. If Marcus Semien fails to bounce back, he could be a candidate to see time at second base for the Mets next year.

2024 first-round pick Vance Honeycutt is being promoted to Double-A Chesapeake.

This is rather interesting, especially since Honeycutt just returned a few days ago from a four-week absence due to a strained oblique. The 23-year-old strikeout artist was hitting just .182/.285/.359 while repeating in High-A ball. He’s fanned 312 times while collecting a total of 113 hits in 748 plate appearances since debuting in the minors.

The Red Sox are moving Justin Gonzales up to Double-A Portland.

Gonzales is widely regarded as Boston’s No. 2 prospect now that the other contenders for that spot were all sent to Baltimore for Adley Rutschman. The 19-year-old hit .271/.391/.463 with 17 homers in 422 plate appearances for High-A Greenville.

Bryan Woo experienced shoulder soreness before coming out of Sunday night’s game against the Astros, manager Dan Wilson said.

Woo completed six innings in the win tonight, but he was only at 75 pitches, and it sounds like he would have continued if not for the shoulder issue getting him lifted as a precaution. Woo said after the game that he wasn’t concerned about it. Still, if he winds up on the IL, that would open up a spot for top prospect Kade Anderson. Anderson, though, should really be in the majors regardless.

Cal Raleigh homered and walked in the Mariners’ 3-2 win over the Astros on Sunday Night Baseball.

The homer, which unfortunately followed a caught stealing from Josh Naylor, was far from a bomb, but it made it into the Crawford Boxes at Daikin Park. Statcast had it at .327 feet and said it would have been a homer in one ballpark. Maybe it’ll give Raleigh some momentum anyway. It was his second hit in seven games and his 13th homer of the year. He still hasn’t had two hits in a game since July 7.

Bryan Woo allowed two runs and three hits over six innings Sunday against the Astros.

The runs came on solo homers from Jeremy Peña and Nick Allen. With Seattle’s pen holding on to a one-run lead, Woo earned his ninth win, though just his second on the road. He had been 1-8 with a 6.22 ERA in 13 starts outside of Seattle. Woo will get a home start next time out against the Cubs.

Andrés Muñoz struck out two in a scoreless ninth to protect a one-run lead and earn his 100th career save against the Astros on Sunday night.

Seemingly highly motivated, Muñoz recovered nicely from one of the worst outings of his career in a blown save and loss Friday. He averaged 101.1 mph with his 11 heaters tonight, topping his season average by 1.5 mph.
