Pirates option Antwone Kelly to Indianapolis

Wrobleski has struggled in each of his last three starts and it sounds like the forearm issue may have been partially to blame there. No word yet on how long the Dodgers expect him to be sidelined for. Kyle Hurt was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Sunday.

Holliday got the Orioles on the board with a two-out RBI single in the fifth inning, then raced around to score on Pete Alonso’s two-run double. The 22-year-old infielder then chipped in with a two-run double the following inning before scoring on Christian Encarnacion-Strand’s three-run double. For the season, Holliday is now slashing .245/.344/.385 with six homers, 25 RBI and six stolen bases in his 245 plate appearances.

Cowser tagged left-hander Steven Matz for a 392-foot (103.6-mph EV) two-run shot in the sixth inning that extended their lead to 5-1. For the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .217/.317/.364 with 11 long balls and 33 RBI in 294 plate appearances.

The 26-year-old slugger capped off the Orioles’ scoring in the ballgame with a bases-clearing three-run double in the sixth inning that made it a 10-1 ballgame. He has impressed since joining the O’s, slashing .250/.293/.500 with five homers and 18 RBI in his first 83 plate appearances.

Rogers punched out six batters on the afternoon while allowing only one base on balls. He served up a solo homer to Ryan Vilade in the fourth inning and allowed an RBI single to Jorge Mateo in the sixth, but that was the extent of the damage done against him. The 28-year-old southpaw got 16 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a strong CSW of 33 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 108/35 K/BB ratio (125 2/3 innings) into a rematch against the Rays on Friday.

Vilade opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 441-foot (106.9-mph EV) solo shot in the fourth inning. He also doubled and scored the Rays’ only other run on an RBI single by Jorge Mateo in the sixth. With his three-hit attack, Vilade is now slashing .256/.318/.478 with 10 homers and 36 RBI on the season.

Peralta also walked three batters in the contest while recording a pair of strikeouts. He hadn’t allowed a run when he was pulled with two men on and two outs in the fifth inning, only to watch Garrett Cleavinger come on to allow a pair of hits and both of those runners to score. Peralta got 13 whiffs on 76 pitches on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his disappointing 5.27 ERA and 1.48 WHIP when he squares off against these same Orioles in Baltimore on Friday.

Ullola has done a decent job in three appearances with the Astros this season, posting a 5.40 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 7/1 K/BB ratio over five innings. It’s unclear if he’ll replace Ronel Blanco in the club’s rotation or if he’ll work out of the bullpen for the Astros.

Blanco has really struggled during his time with the Astros this season, posting a 7.71 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and a 20/12 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings in his five appearances (four starts). Miguel Ullola was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land to take his place on the active roster.

Peterson hasn’t pitched poorly since joining the Cubs, but he’ll get squeezed back into a long relief role for the time being now that Cabrera is ready to return. That should strip away any lingering mixed league fantasy value that he may have had.
