Trevor Rogers strikes out eight in no-decision

Rogers didn’t allow a walk in this one and gave up his only two runs in the top of the fourth inning. Mauricio Dubón hit a sacrifice fly to drive home Ozzie Albies and cut the Orioles’ lead to 2-1, and Austin Riley would single on the next at-bat to bring home Michael Harris to tie the game at 2-2. Despite the disappointing outcome, Rogers continues to be a force on the mound for the O’s, and is boasting a 1.80 ERA over his last nine starts. He’s scheduled to take the mound on Wednesday on the road against the Tigers.

The 30-year-old right-hander will get the ball for the O’s in their second half opener. Injuries limited him to just four starts in the first half where he posted a 4.09 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and a 24/4 K/BB ratio over 22 innings of work. Trevor Rogers will follow on Saturday with Kyle Bradish getting the ball in Sunday’s series finale.

A sixth-inning solo shot to Seiya Suzuki was the only rough spot for Rogers, who now carries a 1.73 ERA in his last seven starts in which he’s looked eerily like 2025 Trevor Rogers again, striking out 31 batters but allowing just 29 hits over 41 2/3 innings. He could be an interesting trade target for other teams if the Orioles stagnate in July. Fantasy managers should stay on the ride while it’s going this well -- this is not the first time we’ve seen this from Rogers.

Rogers continues to hold opposing hitters in check and has now allowed just three earned runs over his last 24 1/3 innings pitched. He struggled a bit with his command in this one, walking a season-high five batters, but a solid defensive effort behind him was enough for him to keep the Reds off the board for five innings. He’ll look to keep up his dominant stretch in his next start, which is scheduled for Thursday against the Cubs.

Rogers didn’t allow a hit or a walk through the first three innings of this one. He would allow a leadoff double to James Wood to start the top of the fourth inning. Rogers would benefit from a solid defensive effort from Blaze Alexander, who threw James Wood out at home on a fielder’s choice, allowing Rogers to escape the inning without allowing a run. Rogers has settled in nicely after a rough start to the season. He ends the month of June with a 3-1 record, a 2.05 ERA, and a 0.91 WHIP. His next start is scheduled for Wednesday at home against the White Sox.

The six hard-hit balls against Rogers were mostly routine flies, and the one hit he allowed was a blooper to shallow center from Tommy Edman. He struck out six to match his season high and walked two. That Rogers had fanned a total of 21 in 35 2/3 innings over seven starts since coming off the IL last month didn’t bode well, but this was probably his most encouraging effort since April. We still don’t have a ton of faith in him at the moment, but a home start against the Nationals next week isn’t a terrible matchup.

Rogers struck out four in another solid showing. After going 0-6 with a 10.01 ERA in seven starts from mid-April through the end of May, he’s come in at 3.12 in three starts in June. It’s enough to make him playable in mixed leagues again, though he’s not a great bet while facing the Dodgers in Los Angeles next weekend.

Rogers struck out three and walked one in a second straight solid start after a rather lengthy run of futility. Still, he was far from dominant in giving up 10 hard-hit balls and recording seven whiffs. He’ll pitch at home against the Padres on Sunday.

Rogers was given a six-run lead before he threw his first pitch and didn’t mess it up while allowing five hits, walking one and striking out three. Rogers came into this one 0-6 with a 10.01 ERA in his previous seven starts, so maybe this is the start of a turnaround. Still, it’d be nice to see him strike out more than three batters for once. He last did that seven starts ago on Apr. 19. He’ll face the Mariners next.

Rogers carried a shutout into the seventh inning before coughing up homers to Kazuma Okamoto and rookie Charles McAdoo, which spoiled an otherwise strong performance. He struck out three and only issued one walk. The results simply haven’t been there for Rogers to warrant consideration for a roster spot in fantasy leagues as he holds a bloated 6.84 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 38/18 K/BB ratio across 48 1/3 innings. He’s shown zero signs that he’s going to turn things around either. He’ll face the Red Sox at Fenway Park his next time out on Thursday.
