Rengifo is facing a lengthy absence after an MRI revealed a complete ACL tear in addition to an MCL sprain. The 29-year-old infielder suffered the injury over the weekend while making a throw from the outfield. It’s unfortunate timing since he was emerging as an impactful midseason addition for San Diego. He’ll undergo surgery at some point in the near future and is facing a roughly 9-12 month recovery timeline.

It feels like only a matter of time before Culpepper gets a look towards the top of Minnesota’s intriguing lineup. He won’t supplant Luke Keaschall in the leadoff spot, but he might make more sense than Brooks Lee in the second spot while Byron Buxton (hip) is out. The 24-year-old top prospect has lived up to fantasy managers’ lofty expectations so far. He hasn’t stolen any bases, which is a surprise, but he’s hitting .313 (21-for-67) with three homers in 19 games since being called up a few weeks ago.

Jenkins remains at the bottom of Minnesota’s lineup after going 2-for-9 with one RBI and a stolen base in three games since being called up from Triple-A last week. The 21-year-old top prospect projects as an extremely impactful fantasy contributor based on his talent and minor league production. The early results haven’t quite been there, but he’s put together some quality at-bats and hasn’t looked overmatched at all so far.

Vientos is at DH and hitting cleanup for Monday’s series opener against the Rays after missing just over seven weeks recovering from a fractured right hand. It’s fair to wonder how the hand injury will impact his results, especially from an on-field power perspective over the final month of the season. He’s been a non-factor for fantasy purposes this season, hitting .211 with 11 homers and 35 RBI in 254 plate appearances.

Rodríguez is one of the more tantalizing power/speed combo talents to enter the fantasy landscape this season and appears to finally be finding his footing after experiencing some initial turbulence at the highest level. The 22-year-old rookie is leading off for the third time in the last five games after launching a three-run homer during Sunday’s lopsided game against the Cubs. He’s homered four times in his last seven games and is hitting .370 (10-for-27) during that span.

Uribe returns to Milwaukee’s high-leverage equation after missing just over two weeks with a flexor strain. The 26-year-old has posted a sparkling 2.05 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 48/18 K/BB ratio across 48 1/3 innings of work. He’s one of the best setup specialists in baseball and has also converted six saves this season. He’ll likely continue helping bridge the gap to closer Trevor Megill heading towards the postseason.
