Tatsuya Imai walked four of the seven batters he faced and was pulled having allowed two runs in two-thirds of an inning Monday against the Angels.
Again, there’s just no middle ground with Imai. Maybe there will be next year as he settles into MLB, but there’s certainly no trusting him right now. This is the third time in 15 starts that he’s failed to make it through the first. He’s completed five innings just seven times, though he is 6-1 with a 1.77 ERA when that happens. He’s due to face the Rangers next.
