Estrada loses his 40-man roster spot one day after being sent down by the Blue Jays. He’s posted a 5.54 ERA over 13 innings in eight relief appearances for Toronto this year. The 27-year-old wouldn’t seem to have a high ceiling out of the pen, but given that he makes the minimum, can eat innings and has options, there’s a good chance someone will pick him up off waivers.

Brendon Little was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move to clear a spot in the Jays’ bullpen.

The 32-year-old has struggled to an 8.03 ERA, 2.27 WHIP and a 15/13 K/BB ratio across 12 1/3 innings in 16 appearances with the Braves this season.

The 31-year-old southpaw has finally made it all the way back after undergoing surgery in June o 2024 to repair a torn UCL in his pitching elbow. He made nine appearances across four minor league levels, posting a 3.09 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and a 16/5 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings. He should provide a nice boost to the Braves’ bullpen.

Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder) was obliterated in a minor league rehab start at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday, giving up eight runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.

The 35-year-old southpaw struck out eight batters in the contest while issuing a pair of walks. Seven of those eight runs came during the first inning, after which he settled in nicely. He threw 80 pitches (56 strikes) in the ballgame, so physically he’s probably ready to rejoin the Angels’ rotation over the weekend unless they want to see him have success in a minor league setting first.

Detmers certainly would have been a better bet down the stretch in fantasy leagues had the Angels sent him to a contender to the deadline. He’ll take on the Rangers next time out.
