Jordan Romano tossed a scoreless ninth inning with two strikeouts to convert a save against the Orioles on Tuesday.
Romano was summoned in the top of the ninth with a two-run lead to close out the game against the Orioles. He pitched a clean inning, shutting the door on Baltimore by striking out two batters for his 14th save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander has been outstanding since joining the Rockies on July 4, giving up just four runs while converting nine saves over 17 innings.
