Iván Herrera hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the ninth inning to give the Cardinals a 7-6 win over the Rockies on Friday.
With the Cardinals trailing 6-4, Herrera became the hero with his three-run shot off Jordan Romano to give St. Louis the 7-6 lead and ultimately the victory. It’s the 15th homer for the 26-year-old, and he’s now slashing .246/.359/.380 on the year. You’d like to see that slugging percentage a few — or 40 — points higher, but Herrera has put together a solid if unspectacular campaign in 2026.
