Brady Singer didn’t pitch well on Sunday, but still managed to pick up his sixth victory of the season despite allowing six runs on four hits over his five frames.
Singer struggled badly with his command in this one, issuing a season-high six walks on the day while striking out three. After starting the day with three scoreless frames, the Reds got to him for three runs each in the fourth and fifth innings — including a two-run blast by Jake Bauers. Singer got six swings and misses on 97 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 24 percent. Now 6-13 on the year, he’ll bring an uninspiring 5.03 ERA and 1.47 WHIP into a rematch against the Brewers in Milwaukee on Saturday.
