Adams racked up five strikeouts on the night while issuing three free passes. The lone tally against him came on a solo blast off the bat of Max Clark in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old right-hander got seven swings and misses on 77 pitches in the contest, posting a CSW of 29 percent. Still without a decision on the season, he’ll carry a 3.38 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and a 22/9 K/BB ratio (18 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Padres.

While Adams lacks experience, he’s getting enough strikeouts to entice fantasy managers with his next start lined up against the weak-hitting Tigers on the road next weekend.

Mason Adams held the Nationals to one run over four-plus innings in his major league debut Tuesday.

He struck out five. Adams, who has yet to throw more than 80 pitches since returning from Tommy John surgery in May, departed after 75 pitches tonight, and four solid innings was really just about all the Rockies were expecting from him. He’ll probably stick around and make another start Sunday against the Braves.

Rockies selected the contract of RHP Mason Adams from Triple-A Albuquerque.

It’s an ultra-rare Adams-for-Adams (no relation) swap on Colorado’s active roster. The 26-year-old came over from the White Sox in the Brenton Doyle trade earlier this month. He’ll get the start for Tuesday’s game against the Nationals and is not a recommended fantasy option.

Rockies acquired RHP Mason Adams and SS prospect Carlos Vielma from the White Sox in exchange for OF Brenton Doyle.

Adams is a 26-year-old who missed the entire 2025 season due to Tommy John surgery. He’s pitched to a 4.25 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 36/17 K/B ratio in 36 innings at Triple-A this year. He does have a six-pitch mix with a solid sweeper, so there is some potential here for the Rockies to work with.

Mason Adams underwent Tommy John surgery on Wednesday.

Adams was sidelined earlier this month with a flexor strain in his right elbow, but wound up having to undergo a full reconstructive surgery. Given the timing of the procedure, he’s going to miss a significant portion of the 2026 season.

White Sox RHP Mason Adams was diagnosed with a flexor strain in his right elbow.

A former 13th round pick of the White Sox in 2022, Adams had a 2.70 ERA in 18 appearances at Double-A in 2024. He struggled with a 5.82 ERA in five starts at Triple-A, where he was set to open this season. The 25-year-old right-hander is now without a timetable to return after the ominous diagnosis of a flexor strain in his right elbow. It wouldn’t be surprising if Adams eventually needed surgery. While Adams wasn’t looking at cracking the White Sox’ Opening Day rotation, this is a blow to the organization’s overall pitching depth.

Mason Adams pitched well in Sunday’s spring start against the Guardians, surrendering only one run on four hits over his three innings of work.

The 25-year-old hurler struck out one batter on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The only damage done against him came in the second inning on a two-out RBI single by Gabriel Arias after Jhonkensy Noel had advanced on a wild pitch. Adams generated three swings and misses in the ballgame while posting a CSW of 20 percent. He’s expected to open the season in the rotation at Triple-A Charlotte.

Bryce Eldridge had a two-run homer, an RBI double and a walk in the Giants’ 10-3 rout of the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Eldridge’s homer was a 461-foot bomb off Andre Pallante. He hit that ball 112.7 mph, and he reached 108.5 mph on the double in the eighth inning. He’s batting .272/.363/.465 with 17 homers in 443 plate appearances.

Still, he was quite effective anyway, and the win gives him a 1-2 record and a 4.56 ERA through eight starts and seven relief appearances. He’s lined up to face the Twins on Monday.

He’s hitting .250/.351/.363 in 97 plate appearances in a bid to try to survive a roster armageddon next month when the Giants have to made decisions on how many of their 16 players on the 60-day injured list they’re going to reinstate to the 40-man roster.

All of Atlanta’s runs came on two-run homers; Ronald Acuña Jr. hit the first off Kevin Gausman in the sixth, Albies gave the Braves a 4-3 lead off Jacob Webb in the seventh and then Drake Baldwin provided insurance against Edward Cabrera in the ninth. Albies’ homer came from the eighth spot in the lineup, which was the lowest he’s hit all year. He was batting just .195/.252/.337 in 226 plate appearances since the All-Star break.

At least the Cubs are learning now that Webb probably shouldn’t be one of their top couple of relievers in October. He’s taken four blown saves since picking up his last save a month ago. Things are definitely looking up for Daniel Palencia, who retired the only batter he faced tonight, but it might be too late to matter much for fantasy purposes.
