Pete Alonso went 3-for-5 with two more homers and three RBI as the Orioles routed the Yankees 10-2 in the first game of Friday’s doubleheader.

Alonso hit a 407-foot homer off Brendan Beck in the third, extending a streak in which his last seven hits had been homers. He broke that up with a single in the fourth, but he went on to homer again in the seventh anyway. That one left the bat at 113 mph and was projected at 471 feet. If that holds up, it’d be tied for the second longest in his career, behind a 489-footer he hit as a rookie. Alonso is up to 43 homers, giving him two more than Yordan Alvarez and Junior Caminero for the AL lead. He’s tied Alec Burleson for first in the majors with 113 RBI, putting him 11 in front of Alvarez for the AL lead.

Alonso took Blue Jays starter Trey Yesavage deep in the opening frame before capping his multi-homer performance with a go-ahead two-run blast off reliever Tyler Rogers with two outs in the eighth, pushing him over the 40-homer threshold for the fourth time in his career. The 31-year-old run-producing force, who has homered six times in his last nine games, will finish his Orioles debut as a top-five fantasy option at first base and has delivered borderline first-round value overall, hitting .265/.359/.510 with 94 runs scored, 40 homers, 108 RBI and five steals in 157 games.

Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in Friday’s loss to the Brewers.

The AL leader in RBI added three more to his count on Friday when he blasted a three-run homer off of Dustin May in the bottom of the third inning to tie the game at 3-3 for the Orioles. It would be the only hit of the night for Alonso, whose last three hits have all resulted in homers. The Polar Bear is slashing .241/.333/.655 in his last seven games.

Pete Alonso went 1-for-5 with a solo home run against the Mets on Tuesday.

The home run was Alonso’s 300th of this career and 36th this season. He hit a game-tying solo shot off Kodai Senga with one out in the ninth inning. It was his only hit in eight at-bats so far in the series against the Mets. He’s hitting .267 with an .861 OPS and 101 RBI in his first year with the Orioles.

Alonso drove in the Orioles’ only run of the day with a single in the fifth inning. He’s now reached the 100-RBI plateau five times in his career. Thanks to his recent surge, Alonso leads the AL in RBI, which is exactly what the Orioles were hoping for when they signed him to a five-year, $155 million contract this past offseason.

Alonso was removed for pinch-runner Jackson Holliday, but it sounds like it was more precautionary than anything else. Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said that Alonso was “fine” in the dugout, so he should be back in the lineup ASAP.

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz pretty much dismissed the notion that Alonso, who went 4-for-4 with his 31st homer of the season, was removed from Tuesday’s blowout win due to a minor calf issue. However, the fact that he’s at DH the following day seems to give those concerns some validity. It doesn’t appear to be a significant concern, but he dealt with a similar issue a couple weeks ago. It’s a variable that fantasy managers should continue monitoring for the remainder of the week.

Pete Alonso is dealing with a minor calf issue.

Alonso made an early departure from Tuesday’s one-sided blowout against the Cardinals after going 4-for-4 with his 31st home run of the season. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time with Baltimore leading by nearly two touchdowns, but it sounds like he could be dealing with a minor physical issue. It’s a situation that fantasy managers should monitor heading into the final two games of the club’s current series in St. Louis.

Andy Pages hit a three-run homer in the 10th inning as the Dodgers beat the Giants 5-1 on Sunday.

Pages had a sac fly that accounted for the Dodgers’ only run over the first nine innings. He had a chance to break the game open with two on in the eighth, but he instead grounded into an inning-ending double play. He got another chance in the 10th after an Alex Call double gave the Dodgers the lead and essentially put the game away with his 23rd homer of the year. It was his second in six games since he returned from a fractured hand. He ends up at .274/.343/.468 with 85 RBI in 134 games.

It’s surprising that he hasn’t been able to miss more bats with his 95-99 mph fastball, cutter and slider, and he might be in some danger of landing on the waiver wire with the Giants needing to make room for a bunch of injured players returning from the 60-day IL.

It seems likely that Conine did enough to earn a larger role with Miami to open the 2027 season, and his power makes him someone to monitor in deeper formats.

The right-hander showed he’s still a strong option, and be it for Miami or a new club, there will be fantasy-relevance, even if he doesn’t miss bats with the best of them.

Ritchie’s final start of the season saw him allow seven hits and walks, and he struck out just two. The right-hander went 1-5 on the year with a 4.91 ERA, but there were positives moments for the 23-year-old, and assuming there aren’t drastic changes, there’s a decent chance he’ll be a rotation option for Atlanta in 2027. He’s more dynasty play than redraft next year, but the stuff is good enough that it could lead to a breakout next summer.

After debuting in August, he wound up 2-0 with a 3.93 ERA and a 23/14 K/BB over 34 1/3 innings in his five starts and three relief appearances for the Astros.
